The Aiken Electric Cooperative, Inc. text messaging service is an alert messaging service that sends company news alerts and notifications. By opting in to receive text messages from Aiken Electric Cooperative ("AEC," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Short Code Information: Aiken Electric Cooperative (AEC) text messaging services are originated from short code 352667. Aiken Electric Cooperative also uses the Light Out number, 877-264-5368 for outage information. You will never receive any content from Aiken Electric Cooperative text messaging from any other sources. If you do receive content from another source stating to be Aiken Electric Cooperative text messaging, please call 803-649-6245 to report.
Program Description
The Aiken Electric Cooperative Interactive Text Messaging Program provides members with important account-related communications, including but not limited to:
- Billing reminders
- Payment confirmations
- Account notifications and alerts
- Service updates
- Outage notifications
- Member service communications
- Other utility-related information
Messages may be sent using automated technology.
Opt-in/Opt-Out
Members may opt-in to the service by sending “JOIN” to 352667.
After you register for the text messaging program, all further SMS text messages will be sent strictly on an opt-in basis. If you have opted in, you can still choose to opt out at any point thereafter by texting” STOP” to 352667 and will receive an SMS message to confirm being unsubscribed. To start receiving messages again, text “JOIN” to 352667.
By opting in, you confirm that you are the authorized user of the mobile number provided.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary on the alerts you sign up for. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

Aiken Electric Cooperative’s text messaging services are compatible with all major cell carriers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Alltel, Boost Mobile, Nextel, and Virgin Mobile, and many smaller rural carriers that participate in the Interop3 network.
