How A Little Change Can Make A Big DifferenceImagine the opportunity to help the less fortunate in our community with what amounts to little more than spare change. That’s exactly what each member of Aiken Electric Cooperative can do when they choose to participate in the Operation Round Up®program. What Is Operation Round Up®?Operation Round Up is a community-focused program to help provide financial assistance that benefits worthwhile causes and the community at-large. Funds will be used to pay for such needs as elderly assistance, educational efforts for the disadvantaged and to assist with food, shelter, clothing, healthcare and other services for those who need it the most. How Do I Participate?Sign up under Pay-By-Net > Services > Round Up or just tell us you want to.When you choose to participate, your electric bill will be automatically rounded up to the next highest dollar amount. For example, an electric bill of $52.71 will be rounded up to $53.00 with 29 cents going directly to the Operation Round Up fund. By participating, your average contribution amounts to an average of only $6 each year and 50¢ per month. If all Aiken Electric Cooperative customers participated in Operation Round Up,we could raise more than $270,000 a year, proving how a little change can make a big difference. How Is The Money Distributed?Requests for Operation Round Up assistance will be evaluated and awarded by the Aiken Electric Trust, a separate board of directors made up of 10 volunteer leaders from our communities. Application for donation for organization / agency Application for donation for individual and/or family Is My Contribution Tax Deductible? All contributions to Operation Round Up are tax deductible and participants will receive a summary of their contributions each December, January and February on their electric bill.
